Before a session, we will be in a communication a few times! Once your session is booked, we will discuss exactly what you're looking to achieve. This can include specific shots, color palettes, themes or special pieces to incorporate. We can also discuss styling options and what will look best given your individual session. Great question! There is also no one answer- it all depends on your specific session. As a blanket rule, you can't go wrong with soft solid neutrals. They photograph beautifully while still giving an easy and airy vibe to images. For family sessions, pairing neutrals with coordinating patterns always provides a seamless contrast while still keeping the image feeling whole. However, I will say I photographed family sessions where everyone (purposely) came exactly as they would on a regular day- there was no matching or collaboration- and the images were SO fun! The session captured the family exactly as they are, which gave a very genuine feel- something I strive for after every session.

Honestly- just your family! Prior to the session we will talk allllll about your color scheme, themes and ideas. I will bring wraps, baskets, blankets, and an entire supply of bows and hats! For in-home sessions, the only real need is a room or two with good natural lighting from windows or open doors. I will always ask before hand if there are any special pieces you would like to include or keepsakes or incorporate, as making your session special and individualized to you is so important to me!

Payment is accepted by cash, check or venmo. The full payment is due at the time of session for your session fee and digital image package. Should you view your gallery and decide to purchase additional images, they will be released for digital download once payment is received.
